Pilot Finance Limited - (herein after referred to as the company), was incorporated in July, 1988 and obtained the CBN licence to operate as a Bureau De Change in July 1989. The Company also obtained the CBN Finance Company Licence in April, 1993. In 1998 the company was licenced by both the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Nigerian Stock Exchange as Broker/Dealer and dealing member respectively. The Company was restructured in 2004 with the Capital Market function ( Stock Broking) transferred to Pilot Securities Limited.

The company currently has an authorized share capital of One Billion ordinary shares of 50kobo each. The company is a major shareholder in Pilot Securities Limited a dealing member of the Nigerian Stock exchange with paid up capital of N775 million. The company through its subsidiary - Pilot Bureau De Change is also a major player in the foreign exchange market.


The Central Bank of Nigeria has just issued a revised guideline to regulate the operations of Finance Companies (FC). FC Scope of functions has been expanded and the supervisory framework enhanced. This promises a vista of opportunities and challenges. The Nigerian economy is expected to grow at between 2% and 3% annually with expanding business opportunities in Oil and Gas, Manufacturing - Small and Medium scale, Telecommunication, Marine and Shipping, Agriculture and Commerce.

Pilot Finance Limited intends to be a major player in the market place offering divers services to its Clients/Customers especially in asset acquisition and project finance. The company has been able to build a robust private sector borrowing (Deposit) base under its money market fund management portfolio with a balance over N300million as at July 2016.

To support further growth the company has just increase its Authorized Share Capital to N1billion, with a view to raise fresh funds during the year.
